2010 Conference Wrap-up

The 17th Annual California Charter Schools Conference was a huge success. More than 2,300 people—including Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger and charter school leaders, teachers and parents from across the state—joined together to celebrate the accomplishments of California's charter school movement.

The Conference featured:

  • Rich content for charter school teachers, leaders and supporters. Select conference presentations are available online.  If session materials are available they will be attached to the online session description; not all presenters post their materials.
  • Keynote addresses by:
  • Announcement of the recipients of the Association’s Susan Steelman Bragato Scholarships [Press Release, PDF]. 
  • Performances of the national anthem and popular songs by students from the Natomas Charter School Vocal Ensemble, as well as “Stomp the Yard!” a performance by the Envision Academy Step Team.
  • Awards honoring important contributions to California’s charter school movement (see below).
